Extreme Dodgeball
Who says raising money for a cause has to be boring? Relay for Life is the annual fundraising event that Sigma Delta participates in. Not only has Sigma Delta got many students, faculty, and staff involved, members have raised at least $500 to support cancer research. Way to go!
Relay for Life
National Earth Day event? Yes! 2013 is Southern Wesleyan University's second annual Earth Day Extravaganza--hosted by yours truly, Sigma Delta. The Southern Wesleyan community is invited to an all-day event planting flowers, pulling weeds, picking up trash, and committing to wonderful service to our community.
In order to raise money for Relay for Life, Sigma Delta hosted its first Dodge ball event at 10:30 p.m. in Tysinger Gymnasium. Students were able to create teams of five and come up with a creative team uniform and name. Drinks and pizza were on the menu. Overall, it was a success! All proceeds goes to Relay for Life.
Golden Harvest is a local food bank that collects non-perishable food items to donate to needy families. Sigma Delta, with the help of Southern Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff created a karaoke night at Main Street Deli that allowed participants to bring canned food items to donate.
